This new building offers a dual functional and urban perspective and provides the opportunity to create an urban hub while representing the institution of the " Théâtre du Capitole ". With the gathering of various trades that were previously scattered across different locations, the building proposes a rationalization and better dialogue between the different parts, serving the theater.

The organization of the building has been designed with a strong emphasis on the rationality of storage and its handling in a comfortable manner, as well as a very particular attention to working conditions. Sets and costumes overlap and find here large, unified, and functional spaces. Choirs and ballets benefit from improved acoustic technology and comfort while finding their place and representation in the city. Thus, the building asserts itself both through the quality of the created storage spaces and the mix of functions it accommodates.

This project also focuses on space management by implementing a simple and rigorous structure that allows for significant evolution. The spanning structure develops a very high inertia and organizes the volume of the roof in which the costume space is inscribed. The steep roof slope allows for photovoltaic panels to be placed across the entire surface, naturally integrated into the building's shape.

The building stands out for the softness of its metallic pleating, which combines façade and roofing in a continuous movement. On the side facing the sports park, the primary function of the theater is expressed through the installation of a wooden curtain, a backdrop that undulates and varies in height along the façade, concealing awaiting sets and affirming the nobility and preciousness of the stored objects.

Between texture and covering, between static expression and structure, the overall morphology of the building is based on enlightened rationality that ensures the functional performance of the building and its sustainability.

Thus, the building offers the Théâtre du Capitole a multifunctional space befitting the quality of the performances it hosts
