Beautiful and fragile, the city stretches out before us. The esplanade of the Mausoleum of Mohammed V forms a plateau, while, in the distance, the Medina and the Kasbah of the Udayas weave a delicate texture between the sky and the mouth of the river preparing the way for yet another horizon: the sea. The walled city of Salé has a strong attachment to the soil. The new bridge sought to create a relationship with this built horizontality, preserving the views, offering new panoramas, allowing light to filter through without obstacle, framing openings without concealing them and, most importantly of all, not obscuring the sky.
